Recruitment Mailing
The purpose of the Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos (SOL) is to
learn about the health of Hispanic/Latinos in the United States and to identify
the factors that influence the health of our families and communities.
To do this, investigators need to collect data that will help them draw conclusions about health in diverse groups of Hispanics/Latinos. For this reason, households that are eligible to participate in the Study must be selected randomly from specific recruitment areas. Unfortunately, we cannot accept volunteer participants. If you receive a letter in the mail, your household may have the opportunity to participate in SOL. Five days after a household receives the SOL invitation letter and informed consent, recruiters will make contact to further discuss the process. If no one is home, recruiters will attempt to contact a household up to four times. If you have any question please contact Rosalinda Rodriguez, Recruitment Manager at Phone # 619-594-7058 or e-mail at: rrodriguez@projects.sdsu.edu
